This residence was reimagined through a focused architectural refresh in collaboration with AD100 designer Mandy Cheng, refining the home into a more resolved and editorially composed environment.
Rather than altering the structure, the approach centered on elevating proportion, material contrast, and surface clarity. Each intervention was deliberate—subtle shifts in tone, texture, and finish were used to bring cohesion and balance across the interiors.
Layered wall treatments and curated material selections introduced depth without overwhelming the architecture. Transitions between spaces were softened, focal points were carefully defined, and previously underutilized surfaces were activated with precision.
The result is a residence that feels more composed, more intentional, and distinctly refined—where every element supports a unified design language.
Originally featured in Architectural Digest, this project reflects a disciplined approach: when structure remains intact, true transformation is achieved through restraint, clarity, and control of detail.
