Frequently Asked Questions

1. What was the design goal behind this Highland Park project?
Our client wanted a space that honored the home’s architectural history while layering in mid-century elements and artisanal craftsmanship. The result is a warm, soulful blend of old-world textures and clean modern silhouettes.
Yes — we preserved the character of the home while updating it with new custom ceiling beams, arched windows, and wall textures inspired by Roman clay and European plaster techniques. These details add depth and timelessness throughout.
This project featured intricate mosaic tilework sourced globally and custom-laid throughout the bathrooms, entryways, and exterior accents. Each tile pattern was selected to enhance the old-world narrative while remaining modern and curated.
Yes. All windows were replaced with new energy-efficient systems designed to match the original profiles. From trim to archways to the custom ceiling beams, every architectural element was rebuilt or reimagined to blend authenticity with performance.
We paired curved, mid-century-inspired furniture with rustic finishes and vintage rugs. Warm woods, sculptural lighting, and artisan ceramics helped bridge the two eras, creating a layered, lived-in space that feels both elevated and relaxed.
