601 Manhattan Oak Residence is a refined high-rise transformation defined by warmth, proportion, and disciplined materiality. Designed as a contemporary urban retreat, the project balances tailored millwork with soft architectural gestures, creating a home that feels elevated yet deeply livable.
White oak establishes the foundation of the residence, introducing natural texture and tonal continuity throughout the main living areas. Custom Shinoki Manhattan hardwood cabinetry anchors the interiors with clean, architectural lines and a precision finish that feels both modern and timeless. In the kitchen, Kashmir lacquer panels introduce a subtle contrast—smooth, luminous, and quietly sophisticated against the organic warmth of the oak.
The Taj Mahal quartzite island serves as the sculptural centerpiece. A single waterfall edge cascades seamlessly at one corner, transforming the stone into both functional surface and architectural feature. The veining moves effortlessly across the plane, reinforcing the project’s attention to continuity and detail.
To enhance spatial volume, ceilings were raised, restoring proportion and allowing natural and artificial light to circulate more freely. Custom lighting was layered throughout—integrated into millwork, recessed into ceilings, and strategically placed to accent material transitions—creating depth without visual noise.
Bathrooms were finished in Porcelanosa tile, selected for its refined texture and tonal restraint. Each bath carries the same language of balance and precision found throughout the home. Custom upholstery and bespoke bed designs were fabricated to integrate seamlessly with the millwork, ensuring every element feels intentional rather than applied.
601 Manhattan Oak Residence is modern without excess. Warm without heaviness. A carefully composed interior where craftsmanship, proportion, and material integrity quietly define the experience.
